Few of you wanted the details about the train courier scene. Train has mainly three options, if you have a confirmed ticket you could book the bike as a parcel and will be loaded on the same train. If you aren't traveling via train, you could book it as a courier and it will be loaded as per the slot availability. This will need some followup to track the package and might not reach you quick. The third and slightly expensive one is the Private /Leased courier - private players lease out a full coach and fill in as much to ensure they make their monies. But with right contact you could ensure your bike is handled well and reach the destination with minimal damage I have used their services over the last 5 years and have had a great experience all through. They are definitely expensive but the guarantee of no/minimal damage on the motorcycle balances it out. Depending on when you need the bike, figure out the train running hours and land up one day prior to it. The agent will ensure to load the bike and send you pics if you can't hang around.
