ReSlide School

Image
We went round and round and round and round again while slipping sliding and eating alot of dust, but laughing it off and going around doing it all over again. #ReSlideSchool was nothing but a well designed process to fine tune your motorcycle skills. The custom build #FT411 from @royalenfield and @_22nelly from @bigrockdirtpark was fun to work with. We have been left wanting for more.. 📸 On @insta360 One R. @leavetheroad_ @anny.arun @abijithmrao @mysticriderprateek @royalenfieldkarnataka #SarathShenoy #REAPPAREL #regear

Where is your bike?

Image
I woke up, walked down, and saw the bike parked and ready to ride. A full tank gas but nowhere to go for now. @kogotrips when do we fire it up? #Kogostories #PlayTime #RoyalEnfield #interceptor650 #kogoplaces #kogoexplorer

Intercepting the twin!

Image
I borrowed the @interceptor650twin for a quick ride to Gokarna and back, the ride was to be for 4 days and I would go on to return the motorcycle. To start with, we ended up staying longer at Gokarna and then the fun of riding the twin got me a good high. This machine has effortlessly helped me play with various terrains, let it be a 120KMph + lock and cruise or blast out on the highway, trail rides, single tracks, and a quick hooligan role in the traffic. The twin plays the dual role very easily. The bike is heavy and there is no other way to it, but once you get a grip on the throttle control you are put having fun. You could always lighten up the bike by changing the exhaust but the stock growl is fun. The enfields are known for the low-end torque and now the 650 motor brings closer to nil vibrations and much better reliability. For the very first time ever, I rode with zero tools, not even a clutch cable or a fuse. I am sure the little troubles would pop up like in any other motor

Mahindra Mojo - Jungle Trails 2016

Image
Jungle Trail -2016 Motorcycles were meant to be ridden and boy did we ride! 1000 odd km's through jungles, with a mix of solid tarmac, loose soils taking us through the beautiful village roads of Karnataka, Kerala Tamilnadu and back into Karnataka.   When Mojo came into the picture, many trails evolved along with it, Jungle Trail was on the top and brought in much excitement. On a not so cold and not so warm morning of 29th April, 25 plus bikes were flagged off from Whitefield in all its fancy. Naveen Malhotra (Head of Marketing & Product Planning) flagged off the boys and also wished he could ride along. We had riders from Mumbai Pune and Chennai joining us to make it a big success. After negotiating the traffic we had our first regroup point just before Nelamangala flyover, and then the open roads ahead let us ride in peace. The day was hot and we were all suited up in the riding gears, which did definitely slow us down but never topped us. With hydration sto

Long Distance Touring

Most of us dream of riding across the country and exploring a new place. Many go back to the same location to relive their previous experience and maybe better their riding skills. Many break downs and bad calls later I am finally living out of a motorcycle. I started small and after many short distance or weekend rides, I gained confidence. Understanding of motorcycles, the route and a bit of people skills have come a long way. It’s been 10 plus years and every road trip is as exciting as the very first one It exciting to see someone just load up the bike and ride out into sunrise, but if he isn’t prepared well, the ride will turn into agony in no time. Thankfully the new age motorcycles have ensured lesser breakdowns and eliminated that bulk of spares we had to carry earlier. I am breaking down the preparation into five major parts,   Comfort zone -     Before you go exploring the lesser-known roads, stat with smaller trips. A day or a weekend trip will give you enough conf
