Day 1 on the #KTMKinnaurTour saw us take many detours. A 115 kms distance was covered in over 7 hours due to barricades and road closures. The temperature took a toll on us and wore us down, but the detours got us riding through some brilliant routes and kept our energy high. What's with all this motorcycling you ask? You won't know until you have lived out of a motorcycle. Its been over three months in the mountains and the temperature change has put my body and mind to good test, the motorcycle kept me going and ensured I had a good time all through it. The grin has been ever growing though my skin is cracking and all my clothes going loose. All happy all smiles. Now dont go out kannu. One of those days that saw a wide grin on my face. Left Jispa at 9 am and made it to chandigarh by 9 pm covering 340kms with a good mix of the mountains roads, switchbacks, back breaking bad roads and full throttle lock highways, #ILOH played along well and kept me going. The #KTMLadakhGreatAdventure brought together 31 riders and set out on a brilliant journey across the mountains. Day 0 was about briefing the group, medical tests and bike checks. Post the dinner and a good exchange of stories around Escapades of Padma Shri Ajeet Bajaj, we called it a day. Day 1 saw the riders heading out to Manali via Mandi. The black top vanished halfway, the rain and under construction roads at mandi ensured to keep the riders on their toe.
